With over 50 years in flooring, owner Rich Linnell takes considerable pride in sharing his knowledge with customers. Rich founded his family business, then called Remnant King, in 1971. The store would soon grow into the area’s best carpet store. A longtime installation expert, Rich learned his craft from his uncle and cousin, eventually becoming the company’s vice president.

In 1996, at the prospect of the family business closing, Linnell accepted an invitation from East Windsor Carpet One Floor & Home to open the doors of a second location in the neighboring town of Hamilton. By 2012, as the company looked to downsize, the owners gave Linnell the option to buy the business with partner, John McCabe.

With Linnell at the helm of one of the leading floor and carpet stores, Rich’s Carpet One will continue to operate under an open-door policy and with a direct approach. “I practice what I preach,” spoke Linnell, on the platform of all his experience with flooring stores in NJ. “I want all our customers to be 100 percent satisfied by our products and service.”

The Building for America’s Bravest organization helps our most catastrophically injured service members regain their independence but providing them with no-strings-attached smart homes. These homes are built to the specific needs of the service member they are being built for. Some features include automated lighting and doors, wider hallways and doorways, and ramps instead of stairs. Carpet One supplies all of the flooring for these smart homes nationally and we’d love your support in continuing to do so.
